BEDFORD — Planning Board extended a Davis Road subdivision hearing and approved a sheltered patio expansion for Sam Walker's American Tavern at 213 Burlington Road. All five members present — Chair Christopher Gittins, Clerk Dawn LaFrance-Linden, and members Steven Hagan, Todd Crowley, and John McClain — voted unanimously to release 1 Selfridge Road from a 1997 subdivision covenant, unblocking a pending sale. In the Business Session, Gittins presented a Dark Sky bylaw proposal modeled on recent Maynard and Chelmsford ordinances; the board agreed to focus initially on commercial and industrial lighting rather than residential, with staff to pursue public engagement and a future Town Meeting vote.
