Bedford Youth Lacrosse has released full logistics for its Bedford Day parade appearance, including a family meeting point and gear giveaways.
BEDFORD --
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Bedford Youth Lacrosse said it will join the Bedford Day parade on Saturday, Sept. 19. Families are asked to meet at 10 a.m. on DeAngelo Drive, off Loomis Street, with the parade starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at the Bedford Police Station. The organization said it will provide pom-poms, necklaces, cowbells and candy for adults to toss, and asked marchers to "bring BYL gear and your BYL spirit." No RSVP is required, and the league said friends and family are welcome as long as children are accompanied by an adult. BYL also said it will staff a Bedford Day booth offering free face painting, giveaways, discounted BYL gear, a look at player uniforms, and registration information, including what it called "a special Bedford Day discount." Questions were directed to board member Bree Oates.
Separately, Bedford Youth Soccer's online events calendar lists two upcoming Association Meetings, on Oct. 7 and Nov. 18, both from 7:30 to 9 p.m., which the organization says the public is welcome to attend and speak at. The same calendar lists Nov. 14 as the end date for both fall intramural and fall travel soccer.
