The Town of Bedford announced Oct. 8 that the Select Board will hold a public hearing on property tax rates for fiscal year 2027.

Under state law, the board will vote on selecting a residential factor, which determines whether the town has a single or split tax rate. The board will also decide whether to adopt an open space discount, a residential exemption or a small commercial exemption.

The hearing is set for Nov. 2, 2026, at 7 p.m. It will be held in person at the Police Station, 2 Mudge Way, and also offered on Zoom.

Residents can submit public comment in writing before the hearing or speak during the hearing itself. Those joining online can use the Zoom meeting link with meeting ID 81494639946 and passcode 502991. Residents may also call 1-309-205-3325 toll free, enter the same meeting ID and passcode, and press star-9 to raise a hand to speak.
