BEDFORD — Zoning Board of Appeals approves four Special Permits and one variance withdrawal. Chair Thomas P. Flannery's board voted 4-0-1 to grant David Brickman a Special Permit for 103 Page Road to construct a new house and convert the existing structure into an Accessory Dwelling Unit, with Associate member Angelo Colasante abstaining over concern the applicant had not provided the Planning Board's decision.

The board unanimously approved Special Permits for Ivy Tharion to demolish and reconstruct a larger dwelling at 2 Perham Street, for Eric Chanudet and Tim Wallace to transfer 1,007 square feet of land between their properties at 6 Fairview Road and 3 Hilda Road, and for Sam Walker's American Tavern at 213 Burlington Road to enlarge and illuminate wall signage. Associate member Karl Winkler announced his resignation, stating his vision for the board's authority to impose conditions on sidewalk installation did not align with fellow members' interpretation of the board's appellate role.
