BEDFORD — Zoning Board appoints new full member and approves dual-sign special permit. The board voted 4-0-1 to promote Mark Rubin to full member after associate Kay Hamilton requested to remain an alternate. In a separate 5-0-0 vote, the board granted Sign Design, Inc., a special permit to erect a second freestanding wayfinding sign at 45 Crosby Drive and illuminate both signs, conditioned on the illumination being turned off between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. per the Sign Bylaw.

Chair Thomas P. Flannery expressed concern about truck noise affecting nearby residents but found the application met special permit requirements. Building Inspector Joe Ready reported shutting down work at 277 The Great Road after witnessing violations of truck-route conditions and directed contractors to comply fully.
