BEDFORD — Youth and Family Services Committee approves three prior meeting minutes at January 8 gathering. Heidi Porter, HHS Director, reported the department distributed 120 family gifts in partnership with Project Ezra during the holidays and established grief counseling services following a Bedford student death, with therapy support continuing Mondays 6-7 p.m. The Bedford Food Bank has raised $50,000 from local businesses and community donations while serving over 250 households, a 50 percent increase from the prior year, supported by contributions from Lane School Student Council raising $2,300.

Recreation Department winter programming includes over 75 programs with Bauman Basketball drawing 300 K-8 participants and new offerings including Indoor Cricket and Adult Dodgeball. Scott Jones announced new clinician Chauny Morgan joined the Police Department's Jail Diversion Program this week.
