VFW park project advances with design consultant approval

Depot Park Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 26, 2026

BEDFORD — Depot Park committee approves $1,200 design proposal to advance VFW park project. Architect Brett Thibault's proposal will develop a scope of work following the December completion of the former VFW clubhouse demolition, which came in under the $35,000 Town Meeting budget with $7,320 remaining for landscaping. Chair Joseph Piantedosi and Facilities Director Ronald Scaltreto discussed design direction with Thibault.

The committee also voiced enthusiastic support for enclosing the Depot's dumpster, with DPW Director David Manugian tasked to investigate costs. The Depot Park Revolving Fund balance as of March 24 stood at $82,971.50, with winter snow removal costs not yet fully billed.
