Taxation Aid Committee approves 2026 application form, plans summer donor drive.

BEDFORD — The Bedford Taxation Aid Committee approved its 2026 application form and began planning a summer donor campaign centered on the U.S. 250th and Bedford 300th anniversaries. Co-Chair Sue Swanson, who will step down from the chair role at the end of June, and Co-Chair Steven Wightman outlined new fundraising strategies including a matching fund with corporate donors and expanded donor recognition. The committee reported a balance of $1,974.67 fed by six recent donations from five new donors, one of whom pledged monthly gifts.

Rebecca G. Neale, the new Board of Assessors representative, joined the committee this month.
