TAC reviews Willson Park scoring, approves speed survey report

BEDFORD — Transportation Advisory Committee approves speed zone survey, continues Willson Park framework work. The committee voted unanimously to send Stuart Trout's speed zone survey — which found discrepancies between state statute and actual posted signs, including errors around Davis Road school zone — to the Department of Public Works and Select Board. The TAC also debated scoring criteria for Willson Park improvements, with John McClain advocating for higher weighting of bicycle and pedestrian network connectivity and Trout questioning whether improved access would simply shift traffic burden from Concord Road to mainline routes.
