Bedford Select Board approves infrastructure investments totaling $530,000-plus. The board voted unanimously to award a $404,800 contract to New England Builders & Contractors to replace the Town Hall stairs and ramp to meet current ADA accessibility standards, with construction expected to begin in late September and complete within ten weeks. Facilities Director Ron Scaltreto explained that the existing ramp no longer complies with regulations for slope and turn radius.
The board separately approved a $125,000 contract with Woodard & Curran for stormwater MS4 permit compliance assistance through June 30, 2027, and unanimously approved a National Grid petition to install 250 feet of gas main at Short Street and Pine Street.
