Select Board approves Pride banner waiver; moves forward on DPW contracts

BEDFORD — Select Board approves Pride banner waiver and DPW contract actions. The board voted 4-1-0 to waive the Town's Flag and Banner Policy and authorize display of the Bedford Embraces Diversity Pride banner at the Town Common in June, marking the fifth consecutive year of the display. David Manugian, DPW Director, presented extension and new bid contracts with multiple vendors for materials and services in fiscal year 2027, all unanimously approved and funded from the DPW operating budget.
The Board also unanimously approved a $208,950 contract amendment with Weston and Sampson Engineers Inc. for phase 2 force main construction services along Burlington Road, funded by a Massworks grant.
