BEDFORD — Select Board approves police vehicles and culvert design work. The board unanimously authorized purchase of two Ford Police Interceptor AWD Hybrid vehicles from Colonial Municipal Group for a combined $91,601.20 and approved a $92,000 design contract with Woodard & Curran for replacement of undersized culverts at 131 Shawsheen Road that have caused flooding during heavy rainfall. The board also unanimously ratified Town Manager Matt Hanson's appointment of Al Rego as Finance Director/Town Accountant, effective February 23, 2026; Rego brings five years as Finance Director for the Town of Tewksbury and prior experience with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the City of Cambridge.
