BEDFORD — Select Board unanimously hires Mead, Tallerman & Costa as town counsel for three-year term. The appointment emphasized affordability over competing firm KP Law; board members Paul Mortenson and Bopha Malone cited Tallerman & Costa's cost advantage and strong reputation. Board member Terrence Parker, who favored KP Law, did not object.

The board also unanimously approved one-day liquor licenses for Arlington Brewing, Blisspoint Meadery, and Modest Roots for August 8's Summer Beer Garden on the Town Common.
