Recreation Commission backs pavilion project with shared funding split.

Bedford Recreation Commission unanimously backs $20,000 contribution toward Multiuse Pavilion Project. Chair Robin Steele reported construction bids exceeded budget; the Commission, DPW, and Facilities will split costs equally up to $20,000 each. Therapeutic Recreation Aide Angelina Shinas detailed expanded inclusion programming serving ages pre-K to 40s, with Summer Adventures fully staffed at 75 positions and Springs Brook Park at 53.

The Commission plans a pilot hybrid or Zoom meeting in October to increase public accessibility and engagement.
