BEDFORD — Recreation Commission approves $15 indoor pickup sports fee despite community concerns. The body voted unanimously to charge $15 seasonally for adult indoor soccer, basketball, and volleyball, according to August 27 minutes. A community soccer group, represented by Swapnil Raut, objected to the lack of advance notice, though acknowledging the amount was reasonable.
The commission simultaneously approved a $1.3 million project to construct two soccer fields at Springs Road, with design expected for Town Meeting review in March.
