BEDFORD — Planning Board receives comprehensive plan status update. JM Goldson presented findings showing Bedford's population grew from 12,996 in 1990 to 14,383 in the 2020 census, with projections potentially reaching 19,710 by 2050. The firm identified six emerging community themes from public input and noted nearly one-third of Bedford is part of a protected green network with 70 percent of open space permanently protected.

The comprehensive plan is projected to reach final adoption in October 2026. The board unanimously continued two development hearings to March 10: a definitive subdivision plan for 145 Davis Road and a covenant release request for 229 Old Billerica Road.
