BEDFORD — Planning Board extends Davis Road subdivision hearing; prepares for new data center rules. Chair Christopher Gittins and all board members voted 5-0 to continue the Middlesex Development LLC hearing on a proposed four-lot subdivision at 145 Davis Road to September 22. Planning Director Tony Fields presented a nine-page draft bylaw covering battery systems and solar systems in advance of new state regulations taking effect October 1.

Community Planning and Sustainability Manager Kylie Raymond recommended adopting a bylaw amendment for Annual Town Meeting to establish local standards before state guidelines apply. The board discussed infrastructure concerns, electrical grid connections, and potential water-usage impacts from future data center and battery projects.
