BEDFORD — Patriotic Holiday Committee unanimously approves Linnehan as 2026 Grand Marshal. Chair Peter Ricci and the committee reviewed Veterans Memorial Park drainage improvements with DPW Director Mike Sprague, expected complete by August with memorial plaques and walkways carefully reset in current locations. The committee selected E-Field as the likely ceremony site for Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, with Chair Ricci to request Select Board approval for the site and proposed parade route.
The committee also unanimously endorsed a Hero Act article for the Annual Town Meeting Warrant. Veterans Service Officer Bill Linnehan announced his retirement after 50 years, remaining in post until May 27.
