BEDFORD — Hanscom Field Advisory Commission heard that JSX will launch scheduled commercial passenger flights from the airport starting January 2027. The commercial carrier plans four daily round trips to New York and seasonal flights to South Florida using 30-passenger Embraer aircraft, with potential for six daily round trips at peak service. Commission Chair Margaret Coppe questioned JSX about ICE detainee transport and passenger parking arrangements.
The commission agreed to review monthly noise reports every other month, while noting that July 2026 saw a 16.4 percent increase in total operations and a 32.7 percent surge in night operations compared to the prior year. The commission requested a public presentation of the North Airfield SDEIR before filing and assigned an action item to develop a map of camera observation locations.
