BEDFORD — Fire Station Building Committee unanimously approved $133,335 in change orders. The committee voted to authorize Change Order #11, which includes six items: $87,100 for additional digital station alerting system wiring, $20,381 for fiberglass training windows, $13,233 for door hardware upgrades, $5,903 for utility pole-related retaining wall work, $5,652 for overnight water main work, and $1,066 for larger granite signposts. The motion was moved by Ron Scaltreto and seconded by Matthew Hanson.
The committee also noted that the project's December 22 substantial completion date may slip by several weeks pending schedule revision.
