Finance Committee hears three departmental budget presentations

BEDFORD — Finance Committee reviews three FY27 departmental budgets with capital projects cut 47 percent. Library Director Jaclyn Powers presented a $1.7 million budget noting potential future technology and staffing enhancements. Board of Health Director Heidi Porter presented a $548,000 budget, up 2.2 percent, driven by new programs and grant revenue.
Assistant Town Manager Amy Fidalgo and Capital Expenditure Committee Chair Craig Jackson presented the $6.785 million capital budget, substantially below the $7 million guideline and the $21 million project list.
