Fawn Lake will be temporarily closed to public access on Friday, August 7, as the town's contractor applies herbicide to control aquatic vegetation, according to a Town Hall News Flash notice issued Tuesday.

The Fawn Lake closure is limited to Friday and is intended to allow the herbicide application to take effect without public interference, per the town's alert. Residents planning to visit the lake should expect it to be off-limits for the day.
Separately, the town continues to flag traffic delays on Route 62 and Old Billerica Road tied to ongoing infrastructure work, a notice that remains active as of Tuesday. Overnight utility work connected to the new Bedford Fire Station project, previously reported, continued through the night of August 3-5 under a 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. schedule, with no new details beyond the original notice.
