Committee approves Mass Energize partnership for municipal sustainability outreach

Bedford Energy Committee unanimously approves Mass Energize sustainability partnership for community outreach. Chair Patricia Fabian led the committee in a 5-0-0 vote to authorize the Facilities Department to purchase Mass Energize's Community Empowerment Pro membership for $1,500 annually plus a one-time $750 setup fee. Mass Energize provides community outreach, website development, and sustainability resources to municipalities.
The town is restructuring a position to create an Energy and Sustainability Manager role focused on commercial and residential sustainability initiatives, while Erin Dorr in Facilities continues overseeing municipal sustainability projects.
