BEDFORD — Commission plans municipal ADA grant application. The Bedford Commission on Disability voted unanimously on January 13 to approve December minutes as Chair Sarah Blackman presented findings from a Riders Transportation Access Group public meeting celebrating the closure of the Daniels-Feingold et al. v. MBTA settlement; Judge Patrick King found the MBTA in substantial compliance with accessibility requirements, with station accessibility reaching 83 percent as of December 2025 and projected to hit 93 percent by 2030.
Members agreed to identify potential capital projects by February for the state's Municipal ADA Improvement Grant program, which offers up to $250,000 in reimbursement for capital improvements.
