Commission on Disability Pursues Three ADA Improvement Grants and Town Hall Ramp Renovation
Commission on Disability · Meeting of March 10, 2026
BEDFORD — Commission on Disability advances Town Hall ramp renovation and three ADA improvement grants. The Town Hall ramp, the town's only ADA-accessible public entrance, has completed design review and will go out to bid for late-spring construction. The Commission will pursue three separate state grant applications for a 30,000 dollar library website accessibility overhaul, ADA-compliant furniture, and a water wheelchair for Springsbrook Park.
Vice-Chair Howard Sumner will refine the library application before the April meeting. The commission also plans a resident feedback form for submitting accessibility concerns to the Department of Public Works.
