Board ratifies food establishment permit for Ginger
Board of Health · Meeting of March 2, 2026
Bedford Board of Health unanimously approves new ownership for Ginger Japanese Cuisine. Sandy Zou, who has worked with the restaurant for nine years, took over as owner, and the Board ratified the food establishment permit at 88 Great Road with the business maintaining its three-inspection-per-year schedule. The Health Department reported 13 annual inspections with 6 re-inspections and 3 food complaints, along with 51 flu cases, 27 COVID-19 cases, and 2 Lyme cases since January.
Board members questioned whether planned Town Common and athletic field projects will include accessibility improvements and tick barriers. The Board decided against active enforcement of a proposed wildlife feeding regulation, instead tracking complaints for one year to assess need for formal regulation.
