Board of Health Reorganizes with New Leadership

BEDFORD — The Bedford Board of Health reorganized in April, electing Susan Schwartz and Maureen Richichi as chair and vice chair. Both elections passed by unanimous vote. The board unanimously approved nominations for three town employees to serve as Inspectors of Animals through April 30, 2027: Mike Leskowski of the Bedford Police Department, Marisa Morello, Assistant Health Director, and Heidi Porter, Director of Health and Human Services.
The board also approved prior meeting minutes from November 2025 through March 2026 and heard a presentation on opioid abatement survey results showing 152 responses from Bedford, with 46.7 percent reporting they know someone affected by the opioid epidemic.
