Board of Assessors Approves Motor Vehicle Excise Tax Abatements

BEDFORD — Board of Assessors approves motor vehicle excise tax abatements. The Bedford Board of Assessors unanimously approved $772.58 in motor vehicle and trailer excise tax abatements at its February 24 Zoom meeting, with Chair Rebecca Neale and Clerk Nick Howard presiding. According to Assessor Rick Ladd's update, the town has hired a new finance director, Al Rego, and approximately 47 abatements have been filed to date, with roughly 26 involving commercial properties.
During executive session, the board granted property assessment relief to multiple residential and commercial properties.
