BEDFORD — The Bedford Bicycle Advisory Committee voted unanimously to endorse a Transportation Advisory Committee statement saying the Tamar Vishlitzky ghost bike memorial does not pose a road safety problem, despite a recent Select Board motion authorizing the town manager to relocate the memorial. Chair Peter Weichman proposed the motion. The committee also received an update from Capital Program Manager Jeanette Rebecchi on Department of Public Works projects including crosswalks, paths, and speed cushions, discussed Select Board concerns about delegating traffic calming authority to neighborhoods, and agreed to monitor proliferation of e-bikes and e-dirt bikes around the region.
