Amendola, currently Chief in Carlisle, brings nearly 30 years of military and law enforcement experience and will start June 8, 2026, under a three-year Grade 10 contract. Member Terrence Parker dissented, citing concerns about community transparency in the hiring process.

The Board also unanimously approved $559,000 in net DPW vehicle purchases from Gervais Ford, MTE Equipment Solutions, and C.N.
