Bedford Library Calls for Volunteers to Unload Fall Pumpkins

BEDFORD — Bedford Public Library is recruiting volunteers to help unload two truckloads of pumpkins ahead of its fall Pumpkin Patch, with early sign-ups earning a free T-shirt.

The Bedford Public Library said a semitruck full of pumpkins will arrive twice this fall, on Monday, October 5 at 2 p.m. and Monday, October 12 at 11 a.m., to stock the library's Pumpkin Patch. Unloading each truckload is expected to take several hours, and the library is asking residents to sign up in advance to help. Volunteers who commit by September 1 will receive a free T-shirt for pitching in.
