Bedford's bicycle and transportation committees approve capital plan changes advancing North Road. The committees, meeting jointly, approved modifications scheduling design of the North Rd./Carlisle Rd. intersection for FY 32 and adding a Pinehill to Beverly Avenue sidewalk to FY 33 design. Capital Program Manager Jeanette Rebecchi presented crash data and incident analysis.
Residents spoke about safety concerns on North Road between Pinehill and Sweetwater Avenue; Amy Hamilton reported a 75-neighbor survey of the section. The committees postponed further discussion of a ghost bike memorial to Tamar Vishlitzky on Route 62, deferring resolution pending individual committee review.
