Bedford Board of Health reorganizes strategic work. The May 4 meeting saw the board unanimously approve prior meeting minutes and shift its goals framework, converting broad topics like mental health and climate change from active goals to monitoring themes. Staff reported the Food Bank serves over 250 households per week with supply from the Greater Boston Food Bank, which faces a $10 million deficit.
The board received a request from Elizabeth Cowles, a John Glenn Middle School teacher and BEA president, to support efforts limiting student technology use rather than pursuing school start time changes. A special meeting was scheduled for May 7.
