BEDFORD — The Ad Hoc Willson Park Committee reviewed survey results from 469 residents and met with the Bedford Minutemen to gather input on the Willson Park intersection redesign. The Minutemen requested the design accommodate their annual Pole Capping celebration, which honors Jonathan Willson (killed April 19, 1775), with stage capability, pedestrian access improvements, power supply, and historic marker preservation. The committee deferred voting on design priorities until May 7 and scheduled a site visit for the interim.
The committee scheduled design consultants VHB to present alternatives at the June 4 meeting.
