BEDFORD — Willson Park Committee advanced intersection redesign planning on June 4. Chair David Manugian led the eight-member discussion with VHB consultants Laura Castelli and Tim McIntosh, who presented traffic data showing volumes largely unchanged since 2010 and 2021, except for a slight increase between Routes 225 and 62. Members reviewed design concepts, including a modified roundabout with traffic signals, while consultants noted that signal technology and design standards have improved since the committee's previous effort ended in 2017.
Vice Chair Stuart Trout submitted a design sketch proposing signals on all three legs, activated during peak hours only. The committee plans to vote on design recommendations in October.
