Ad Hoc Willson Park Committee gathers public input on redesign

Ad Hoc Willson Park Committee · Meeting of February 5, 2026

BEDFORD — Ad Hoc Willson Park Committee gathers public input on proposed park redesign. Chair David Manugian presented the committee's scoring matrix approach and design attributes, then opened the meeting to 17 public comments emphasizing traffic concerns, traffic diversion to residential streets, and the historical significance of the site where the Minutemen mustered on April 19, 1775. The committee approved December 4, 2025 minutes 6-0-2, but a 4-0-4 vote on January 8, 2026 minutes left that motion short of passage; the committee will revote in March.

The committee rescheduled its attribute-weighting freeze from March to April 2 to allow discussion at the March 23 Annual Town Meeting.
